Even if you're in great shape, sports related injuries could occur when you least expect it. The goal of the doctors and staff at Joint Replacement Institute is to help athletes recover from injuries as quickly and safely as possible.
We offer several services on-site, allowing our patients to have several procedures and tests done conveniently in one place, and eliminating the need to go to a separate facility for treatment.
Extremity MRI allows for precise imaging of the arm, leg, hand, or foot, helping our practitioners to diagnose conditions of the muscles, bones, and joints in these areas. Unlike a full MRI, you only have to place the extremity being examined into the machine, rather than your whole body. This is great for patients who experience claustrophobia from a full-body MRI.
Digital x-rays allow images to be taken immediately and viewed on a computer. This allows the doctor to view and report on the x-ray image within minutes of the exam. Because the images are digital, they can also be easily sent to and viewed simultaneously by the patient’s other physicians.
Our podiatrist, Dr. Weaver, uses a machine to scan the patient’s foot and can then create custom orthotics made specifically for your feet, helping to keep your feet in proper placement and alleviate pain during walking or physical activity. Custom orthotics may be used to help treat conditions such as plantar fasciitis, bursitis, tendinitis, and diabetic foot ulcers.

Ultrasound Guided Injections and Diagnostic
Ultrasound pictures allow for accurate placement of injections, helping the doctor to pinpoint the exact placement of the injection to help alleviate joint pain. Patients are given local anesthesia first to numb the area, then an anesthetic, steroid, or mixture of both is administered to the pinpointed area.
Physical therapy is a major part of recovery for many orthopaedic conditions. We have a licensed physical therapist on staff to attend to your physical therapy needs all in one convenient location. Physical therapy can help to restore joint function and strengthen the muscles surrounding the joint, helping to relieve your pain.
